Shreveport Symphony Orchestra fundraiser a success

The Shreveport Symphony Orchestra continues to make a comeback, after almost having to stop hosting performances several years ago.

On Saturday evening, the orchestra hosted its biggest fundraiser of the year at Sam's Town Casino.

A jazz trio serenaded the crowd as they ate and selected items to take home from the live auction. The orchestra also performed. More than 250 people were in attendance, which Executive Director Lori Robinson said is about 100 more people than showed up last year.
