LSU falls to Georgia in SEC Tournament

DULUTH, Ga. - Jasmine Hassell led five Georgia players who scored in double figures with a game-high 19 points and the third-seeded Bulldogs routed sixth-seeded LSU 71-53 on Friday in the Southeastern Conference Tournament quarterfinals in the Arena at Gwinnett Center.

Georgia (25-5) advances to play second-seeded Kentucky (26-4) in Saturday's second semifinal, which begins at 6 p.m. ET on ESPNU.

Hassell's 19 points came on 9-of-12 shooting to complement eight rebounds, while Tiaria Griffin followed with 15 points. Shacobia Barbee tallied a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The Lady Bulldogs shot 45.2 percent (28-of-62) from the field, while limiting the Lady Tigers to just 29.0 percent (20-of-69) shooting. Georgia out-rebounded LSU 46-36.

LSU (20-11) was led by Adrienne Webb's team-high 16 points to lead three players in double-digit scoring.
