The morning after a murder suicide at Textures and Tones Hair Studio and Boutique, investigators are still collecting evidence.

Police say Wednesday afternoon, 43-year-old Lavance Williams walked through the salon doors and got in an argument with his estranged wife, Lashontay Jimese Lewis.

That's when Williams shot Lewis, right in front of their 11-year-old son.

Detectives say they were seperated.

"They were just in an argument, apparently over the, you know, possibly over their situation," says Bossier Police Spokesperson Mark Natale.

Lewis operated a tax service in another part of the building. Today one of her customers came to the salon to see if the rumors about the shooting were true.

"She's a real friendly person, a good person," says customer Stephen Manning. "Everybody knows her around town, and I just hate it for her."

Neighbors that live right around the corner from the salon, say they had no idea what was going on at the time of the shooting.

That is until a woman came around the corner, screaming at the top of her lungs.
Rebecca Landis came outside to grab something out of her car when the woman ran up.

"And the lady came up here running hysterically talking about, 'my auntie, and my uncle, and shot,'" says Landis. "And I called my momma, and I was like, 'hey momma come outside. Something is wrong."

Rebecca brought the woman inside her home and called police.

Even though the gunman was dead, Rebecca was still on edge, because she had no clue.

"I was shaken up, I was scared," says Landis. "I have an eight-month-old son, and this has never happened since we've lived here."

She's hoping it doesn't happen again.
