At least four people were injured when several vehicles collided in south Shreveport.

The crash happened shortly after 3 p.m. at the intersection of Barrett and Kings Hwy.

A police officer was trying to stop a Chevy Tahoe that was speeding through a school zone and when the driver sped up to get away from the officer he slammed into three other cars.

Four people were taken to area hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.

Authorities say the driver of the Tahoe faces numerous charges and a small amount of marijuana was also found inside the SUV.
