Sci-port is reaching out to local adults with their new monthly program "Science on the Rocks".

On Thursday, they're bringing together a local brewer, and a new downtown hotspot, for the "Science of Beer".  Robert McGuire will present the science behind brewing while you sample a flight of beers.

"Opens the door for a new audience, 21 and up,  to start thinking about science again.  Just make it relevant to them.  The topics range from Science of Hypnosis to Science of Wine," said Karen Wissing, Sci-Port.

It starts at 7 P.M. at VooDoo Cafe and Art Bar on Commerce St. in downtown Shreveport.            Tickets are fifteen dollars, click here to purchase.

Voodoo cafe manager, Christine Bradley, is thrilled to partner with Sci-Port.

"Try to get community down here to support Shreveport in general, and also support local artists, musicians, visual artists.  Kind of create a home for them where they can display their work, exhibit their work, perform," said Bradley.
