Monday a judge ruled that Homer Police officers will not lose their jobs.

Judge Jimmy Teat said the Town of Homer violated the open meeting law which made the decision to disband the police department null and void.

Judge Teat also ruled Homer Police Chief Russell Mills will also maintain his title and the town of Homer will have to pay for Mills' legal fees which are in excess of $4000.

NBC 6 reporter Stephanie Claytor will have the latest details on this story tonight at 5 and 6.
