DeSoto Parish student recognized by Chesapeake Energy

A Logansport high school student receives recognition for his leadership qualities.

Friday morning Chesapeake Energy presented an award to Zack Temple during an assembly at Stanley High School.

The 15-year-old student was recognized for contributions to his school and community.

Zack is the president of 4H club, reporter of Future Business Leaders of America, a member of Student Council and a member of the track team.  He is also a Vacation Bible School leader at Magnolia Baptist Church.

Zack was selected from more than 119 nominations submitted by parents, teachers, principals and classmates.

Chesapeake also donated a $1000 worth of equipment to the school including two iPad minis and a Kindle Fire.
