Jury convicts Caddo Parish man of manslaughter

Jurors deliberated just under an hour before returning a unanimous verdict. Although prosecutors sought a second-degree murder conviction, but the jury opted for the lesser charge.
Caddo District Court Judge Craig Marcotte ordered White to return to court March 12 for sentencing. White could be facing a maximum of 40 years in prison.
Caddo Parish ADAs Dale Cox and Sarah Midboe prosecuted the case, and local attorney Richard Goorley was White's defense lawyer.
