Train accident sends local man to the hospital

A car collides with a KCS train Thursday morning near downtown Shreveport.

The crash happened around 9:45 a.m. on the railroad tracks near McNeil and the Common St. overpass.

Police say a man drove into the path of the slow moving train and the car was dragged more than 100 feet.

The driver of the car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
