Bossier City Police arrest four people on drug charges

A shoplifting call turns into a drug seizure that
sends four people to jail.
The incident happened Tuesday afternoon at the Wal-Mart in the 2500 block of Airline Dr.
Dexter Long Jr. was arrested at the store but the other three suspects Angela Lewis, Lea Whittington and Jerome Bradford fled the scene.
After authorities received a description of the car, a K-9 officer executed a traffic stop on the vehicle. A police dog helped investigators locate 127 grams of marijuana and more than 100 tablets combined of Hydrocodone, Xanax and Valium.
Officers also recovered $2200 in cash from the car.
The Bossier Combined Narcotics Task Force assisted with the investigation which resulted in the following charges:
- Angela Lewis, 27, - Possession of schedule I controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute, possession of schedule III controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Lea Whittington, 27, - Possession of schedule I cds with intent to distribute, possession of schedule III cds with intent to distribute, possession of schedule IV cds, possession of drug paraphernalia and improper display of license plate.
- Jerome Bradford, 31, - Possession of schedule I cds with intent to distribute, possession of schedule III cds with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- Dexter Long Jr., 25, - Theft of goods, Of Goods, possession of schedule IV cds and introducing contraband into a jail.
The suspects were booked into the Bossier City Jail and later transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility.
