I-20 closures could cause major traffic delays

You may want to take an alternate route if you drive on Interstate-20 next week.
Starting Wednesday, March 6 one of the eastbound lanes of I-20 will be shut down between Monkhouse Dr. and Linwood Ave.
DOTD officials say the lane will be closed for two months due to shoulder construction work and roadway patching.
Meanwhile, the I-20 eastbound exit ramp to LA 3132 will be closed Thursday, March 7 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for maintenance operations.
You can detour from I-20 east to LA 526, Exit 8. Continue on LA 526, West Bert Kouns Industrial Loop east 0.3 miles to LA 511, W. 70th St.
Then continue on LA 511 east for approximately 3 miles to LA 3132 East.
