A local child who has spent time at Children's Miracle Network hospitals is in the running to be selected as a state Ambassador for CMN.

Joshua Black and his family were guests at last night's men's basketball game at LSU Shreveport. Black is an 8th grader at Youree Middle School.

He says he feels that he's a good fit for the Ambassador position."It will be awesome because I know I'm going to be able to set a good role model for other kids," says Joshua Black, CMN Ambassador candidate.

The selected champions go to Orlando in the fall and then Washington, D.C. To speak about children's healthcare.
