Burglary suspect has been arrested after seeking medical attention at a Texarkana hospital.
Shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday Davonte Willis, of Memphis, and another suspect were armed with guns when they tried to burglarize a home in the 2000 block of Wood Street.
Authorities say someone inside the home obtained a weapon and fired shots at the suspects who then fled the scene.
Willis, 18, went to Wadley Hospital to get treatment for a gunshot wound to his arm. A short time later, investigators got a call from the hospital and learned that Willis was one of the suspects involved in the burglary.
Willis was booked into the Bi-State Justice Center and charged with burglary of a habitation. No bond has been set at this time.
Authorities continue to search for the other suspect. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Texarkana Crime Stoppers at (903) 793-7867.
