Repairs force closure of Bossier Parish bridge

You need to find an alternate route if you travel on LA 527 in Bossier Parish.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation is shutting down the bridge starting at 8:30 a.m. on Monday March 4.

The LA 527 bridge will be closed over Flat River, near Taylortown, approximately 0.51 miles east of the junction of US 71, due to piling repairs.  The project is expected to take at least five days.

DOTD officials say all vehicles must detour using US 71, LA 154, LA 157 and LA 527.
