NEW BOSTON, TX - Pit stops can mean problems for NASCAR drivers, but for Ryan Lynch, a pit stop at Iowa Motor Speedway meant the realization of a racing dream.
"After I graduated college, I decided that I wanted to pursue Nascar," Lynch said.
Lynch's dreams came true when he made his debut in the NASCAR truck series, finishing 13th overall.
"At the end of the night, when I climbed out. I think that's more when it hit me, of what I had gotten to do."
It was a big dream that began on a small track. Lynch got his training wheels driving go-karts at his father's track in New Boston, TX.
"Since he has a knack for going fast, we started our journey to go as high as we could go as quick as we could go," Roger Lynch, Ryan's father said. "We didn't know what was possible, but that's why we tried it."
His goal is to graduate from truck cars to stock cars.
