A teenager has been arrested for destroying two vacant homes in Mooringsport.

Thursday Jesse Ayers, 19, was booked into Caddo Correctional Center after turning himself into authorities.

Earlier this month, Ayers allegedly broke into two homes in the 7800 block of Teal Glen.  Ayers is accused of tearing off interior doors, knocking holes in the walls, tearing down ceiling fans, breaking toilets and shattering windows.

The estimated damage from both properties is more than $20,000.

Ayers has been charged with two counts of property damage.
