Shreveport dentist offering services for free on Friday

One Shreveport dentist feels blessed to fill a big need in the community.
This is the third year for Dr. Dana M. Jackson to hold two free dental emergency treatment days in the month of February. Last Friday and this coming Friday, Jackson sees as many patients as she can between 8 A.M. through 2:30 A.M.
Targeting no or low income people of any age, she performs cleanings, small fillings and simple extractions.
"They're grateful, they're very appreciative. A lot of times they need to know they don't understand how important dentistry is to their overall health or how they can prevent certain things from happening," said Jackson.
If you plan to receive treatment at Divine Dentistry this Friday, bring a current ID, a list of medications and any insurance you may have. Divine Dentistry is located at 515 East Washington St. and their number is 318-861-6342.
