Beautify your lawn with a bed of roses

A weekend seminar could help you turn your plain flower bed into a rose garden.

With spring right around the corner, the Shreveport Rose Society is holding a special event to educate you about roses.

SRS President Robert Powell will talk about how to select roses and how to take care of them.

The "All About Roses" seminar will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at Akin's Nursery and Landscape Co. on 5901 E. Kings Highway.

Missing dog gets reunited with owner
