Marshall Convention Center packed for Black History Celebration

The community of Marshall, Texas, came together for its 10th annual Black History Program.

More than a thousand people came out to see the children show off their talents. 

The theme in 2013 is "At the crossroads of Freedom and Equality."

One of the featured guests was the Jarvis Christian College Choir and the keynote speaker was Rev. James Webb of Bethesda Baptist Church.

More than 200 Marshall Independent School District students participated in a step show.
