Chesapeake recognizes local student for her accomplishments

A Logansport high school student is being rewarded for her volunteer and leadership efforts.
Friday morning Chesapeake Energy presented Debra Dick, 17, with an award during an assembly at Stanley High School.
Debra's accomplishments include Stanley High School's student of the year, senior class president and student council member. She is also on the cheerleading squad, plays softball and volunteers with Fall Festival and See You at the Pole.
Debra was selected as a Discovering Tomorrow's Leaders winner by the DeSoto Parish Chamber of Commerce based on qualities of leadership, character, volunteerism and a sense of community. She is the second student to be chosen from Stanley High School.
Chesapeake also donated $1,000 in technology equipment and supplies to the school.
