If you have Foster Farms chicken in your fridge or freezer you may want to get rid of it.
Government health officials say more than 100 people in 12 states have gotten sick from salmonella infections linked to the poultry.
Most of the illnesses have occurred in Washington and Oregon. So far, no deaths have been reported but a third of those who became sick have been hospitalized.
No recall of any products has been announced but The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service is conducting an investigation.
Foster Farms is a West Coast poultry producer with plants in several states including Louisiana.
