Chimp Haven's unexpected Valentine's Day bundle of joy turns one today. The baby chimp was named Valentina Rose in honor of her February 14th birthday.

Today, the one-year-old chimp celebrated her birthday just like it were any other by running and playing outside. It's unusual for the retirement community to house baby chimps, but workers say Valentina is adapting well.

Valentina is only the second baby her mother has had in ninteen years. There was a lot of buzz over who her father was this time last year.  It turned out to be a chimp named Conan, who also fathered a chimp born last August.

Chimp Haven is still seeking a lifetime donor for Valentina. To find out how you can help, you can call (318) 925-9575.
