Water main repairs may affect traffic in North Shreveport

By: Nikki Henderson
Updated: February 14, 2013

Traffic may move a little slower than normal if you drive on Hearne Avenue next week.

The Department of Water and Sewerage is closing the southbound lane of Hearne Avenue at the intersection of Ashton St. to repair a 24-inch water main.

The lane will be shut down starting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19.  It will take crews up to four days to complete the repairs.

Lower water pressure may occur in the area but if your water pressure drops significantly, contact the City's service center at (318) 673-7600.
