Shreveport florist has survived 36 Valentine's Days

One local flower shop has survived 36 crazy Valentine's Days providing beautiful valentine bouquets for their customers.

A Daisy a Day flower shop on N. Market has grown over the decades from a one-woman operation, to now, a full-blown florist workshop.

Jenny Christian owns the place and says her business is all about emotions: happy, sad, and everything in between, including romantic.

The most popular flower this year hasn't changed much in the times she's spent at her shop.

"It's every year - roses, roses, roses.  That's the most popular flower.  All flower shops sell out of roses.  We've sold out several times already before we even got to this day," said Christian.

Christian also has some advice for all those fellows who either forgot about Valentine's Day or were too late to get anything ordered.  She says that she'll be at work starting Friday to help you get out of the "dog house".
