Charges continue to mount for an Atlanta man who is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a Shreveport business.
Investigators with the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office say William Hill, 49, is facing more theft charges.
Detectives recently discovered that between August 15 and Sept. 12 Hill allegedly negotiated two personal checks at the Eldorado Casino for a total of $10,000. He later stopped payment on the checks causing the casino to be at a loss and used the money to gamble at the casino.
Hill is also accused of using a check fraud scheme to purchase $37,490 in gold from Louisiana Gold and Jewelry and then selling the gold for cash to gamble at local casinos.
Last week Hill was picked up in Las Vegas and returned to Caddo Parish where he was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for theft. His bond has been set at more than $125,000.
