Tonight local Shreveport Democrats gathered to watch President Obama deliever the State of the Union address.

This same group frequently gathers to watch political speeches and debates, they say they would like to see Congress, along with local  representatives work together.

"I'd like to see more on our economy and how to keep our country safe. There's also so many issues that impact us abroad," LA Rep. Barbara Norton said.

We reached out to local Republicans and Republican representatives, but none were having watch parties that we knew of.
