The Southwood Lady Cowboys began defense of their 5A state title with a 61-28 win over Destrehan. Southwood plays the winner of Lafayette and Thibodaux Monday night. In 4A hoops, Parkway came from 14 points down to defeat Pineville 54-53. Brittany Dukes led the Lady Panthers with 14. Parkway will play the winner of Carroll and Minden on Monday night. In other action, Bossier doubled up Sam Houston 60-30, Benton defeated Crowley 61-42 and Loyola topped Lake Providence 71-50. Check the lhsaa website to see dates of all matchups for all classes.
