Cecil Picard Dead at Age 69

State Education Superintendent Cecil J. Picard died this afternoon after a long fight with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrigs disease. Picard had planned to resign his post on May 1st after being diagnosed with the disease in May of 2005. Cecil Picard was 69.
