Policy Changes At Bossier Parish Schools

Thursday, the school board decided to revise policy already in place about smoking at school. Now even those who work there or visit the campuses will not be allowed to smoke. The school board plans to set up signs so those attending after school activities know they are not allowed to smoke. Some parents support the idea. The school board made changes in hopes of keeping school campuses smoke free. School employees caught smoking on campus could be fined up to $500.
