"Run with the Nuns" presents $5,000 check to Gingerbread House

Today, representatives with "Run with the Nuns" presented the children's organization, Gingerbread House, with a $5,000 check. The money will be used to update the recording equipment in their forensic interview room. It's a much needed renovation that will help children who are victims of sexual or severe physical abuse. The Gingerbread House has a huge case load of more than 700 children a year.
All funds raised by Run with the Nuns support children's health programs in our community. Today's donation was made possible by Run with the Nuns VI, a motorcycle rally they held in October 2012.
Executive director of the Gingerbread House, Jessica Miller, says it's not every day that a large group will donate to the organization. She says, "They were just very generous. I think that the mission of our facility, helping children at needs, particularly child victims of abuse just resonates deeply with the community, and with that group. And so we are incredibly thankful to run with the nuns for doing this."
