If you're looking for something to do that's fun, safe and family friendly, you should head over to Arkansas later this month.

The Annual Community Auction will soon kick off in Ashdown.

The event will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 at the Barbara Horn Civic Center on the campus of Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas.

There will be several types of auctions including: silent, live, penny, and even a special prize raffle.

The auction is a joint project between Domtar's Community Advisory Team and the City of Ashdown with proceeds going toward community development projects for the City of Ashdown.

So far, a few of the donated items include everything from a pop-up truck camper, HD televisions, CCCUA scholarships, grills, picnic tables, home baked goods and Arkansas Razorback memorabilia.
