Updated: February 7, 2013
First Baptist Church in Bossier will hold its first ever Sporting Clay Tournament on Sunday, Feb. 24, at the Los Paloma Event Center in Benton, LA.

Sporting clays" is a form of clay pigeon shooting, often described as "golf with a shotgun" because a typical course includes from 10 to 15 different shooting stations laid out over natural terrain.

Unlike trap and skeet, which are games of repeatable target presentations, sporting clays simulates the unpredictability of live-quarry shooting, offering a great variety of trajectories, angles, speeds, elevations, distances, and target sizes.

The tournament is a fundraiser in order to lower costs of international (mission) trips First Baptist members take throughout the year.

All proceeds will go toward lowering trip costs, so volunteers can share the Gospel around the world.will consist of five shooters and prizes will be awarded to the bests scores. To learn more, go to "http://www.firstbossiermissions.org/"
