Groundbreaking ceremony held for charter school

A groundbreaking ceremony was held for Shreveport's newest school.  Local officials put on their hard hats to officially break ground on the Magnolia School of Excellence.

The charter school is slated to open August of this year.  Board members say the school will offer music, technology and other enrichment programs.

You can learn more about the Magnolia School of Excellence during a meeting at Riverview Hall and Theater in Shreveport at 6pm.
