Local gas prices rising

By: Nikki Henderson
Updated: February 5, 2013

It will soon cost you more to fill up your gas tank.

Experts blame rising oil prices and refineries making seasonal adjustments for the recent spike in gas prices.

Average gas prices around town spiked sharply this month, almost 20 cents per gallon with prices jumping almost 10 cents in the last week.

Gas costs just as much last year at this time.  Prices here still are lower than the national average which this week is at $3.50
