Arkansas authorities say around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday a man who appeared to be holding a gun tried to get into the building but the doors were locked.

He then tried to get students and a faculty member to open the door but they refused.

The man then told them he was going to the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope.

The suspect is described as a black male, around six feet tall, between 170 to 180 pounds.

He has dreadlocks down to his shoulder and was last seen wearing a light blue jacket or shirt and blue jeans.

If you see this man call 9-1-1 immediately.
