The weather was perfect for spending a day outside. Families barbequed all afternoon long along Clyde Fant Parkway, in anticipation for the big parade.
We don't have Mardi Gras in our town so we just come out and enjoy ourselves, said Felecia Terrell, of Ringgold, Louisiana. Terrell is apart of the Allims family. They brought more than 30 people.
Vendors sold kids toys, and made thousands of dollars. "It's going really well. We're making a lot of money and people are having fun," said Lorraine Stigar, of Little Rock, Arkansas.
The parade featured more than 40 floats, which represented festivals from around the world.
