Members of Bossier Parish Community College joined officials from the Louisiana National Guard's "Youth Challenge" at Camp Minden. Cadets who pass the GED exam can take courses to earn up to 15 college credits.

Jim Henderson, chancellor at BPCC, said this was a great day for both the school and the Louisiana National Guard because they're creating a new pathway to success.

The statewide initiative gives students at Camp Minden, Camp Beauregard, and Gills W. Long a chance to go to college.
