If you make a certain income you could qualify to file your taxes for free.

You must have a combined income of less than $57,000 in order to file your federal and state returns at no cost through the United Way of Northwest Louisiana.

To get started, visit http://www.unitedwaynwla.org/freetaxes and the software will walk you through the process, step-by-step.

If you have a question, call (855) 698-9435, Monday-Friday between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

If you prefer to file your taxes in person, there is a link on the site to direct you to the nearest free filing location.
