Bridge closing for Mardi Gras parade

You won't be able to drive on the Shreveport-Barksdale Bridge on Saturday afternoon due to the Krewe of Centaur parade.

It will be closed to westbound traffic into Shreveport beginning at 3 p.m.

The bridge closure will remain in effect until the parade concludes its designated route.

Service roads that run along Westgate Dr. east of the bridge in Bossier City will stay open allowing access to businesses and residences in the area.
