Bossier authorities want to make sure your child is safe while riding in the car.

Starting today Louisiana State Police Troop G will be checking child car seats to make sure they are properly installed.

The event will take place every Tuesday between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at the State Police office on 5300 Industrial Drive.

Over the past decade thousands of children's lives have been saved due to properly installed child car seats.
