A local church spent part of Sunday afternoon celebrating the men of the congregation.
The Church of the Living God on Alma Street in Shreveport held it's annual Men's Day Program.
Bishop Jerry L. Maiden, Sr., says the program is meant to give some recognition to men who are doing good in their communities and homes.
Plus, all of the men can fellowship with one another.

"A lot of good thing come from this," says Bishop Maiden. "The men, they kind of get a little more confidence in doing things for the Lord, and being public with their relationship with god."
The program has been going on for 10 years.
