In our Faith Matters report, members of 20 different religious groups set up booths at the 14th annual World Religion Day at the Highland Center.
New in 2013 is a chieftan from the Choctaw Nation, explaining to guests Native American spirituality.
Guests were able to ask questions during a panel discussion, and learn about the origins of several religions.
NBC 6 got a chance to talk to several witches belonging to the Covenant of the Pentacle Wiccan Church about misconceptions of paganism.
"We don't kill cats. We don't do a lot of crazy stuff. We're a religion just like everyone else," said Susan Kagan, 3rd Degree High Priestess of the Covenant of the Pentacle Wiccan Church of New Orleans.
Kagan said Wicca is an earth-based religion. Its believers worship the elements of nature. They also worship a God and Goddess, which she said makes it more balanced than other religions.
