Gas fumes spark fire

Be careful where you store your gasoline cans.  Sunday afternoon, the Shreveport Fire Department extinguished a house fire in the 3400 block of Red Bud Lane.

One resident was injured pulling the other occupant out of the home, but he is now in fair condition. Investigators believe the fire was accidental.  Mechanical equipment left on the back porch sparked nearby fumes from a gas can.
