His leg was amputated several years ago after he suffered from a gunshot wound. While he struggled to survive at the Animal Emergency Clinic, Pet Savers came to his rescue."He's very sweet," said Linda Shemwell, founder of Pet Savers.
"He tries to jump up and give you a big kiss. He's just a sweet, sweet, dog.""After getting his leg amputated, he was adopted by one of Pet Savers' staff members,
Eddie Bardwell. Tragically, on Sept. 12 2012, Bardwell passed away while working in a machine shop. That led to Rascal's return to living at Pet Savers. "He's an energetic dog," said Paula Allison. "You would think with the three legs, he'd be really handicapped. But he's not. He gets around really well.
He's just a great little dog. Pet Savers is open every day from 12 to 4 p.m. To adopt a pet, you must fill out an application and meet set criteria.
The adoption fee for dogs is $80 and the adoption fee for cats is $60. Click here "http://www.petsaversshreveport.org/index. for more information.
