NSU's late-fury closes out Stephen F. Austin

NATCHITOCHES, LA - In a matchup of the nation's top offense versus defense, offense won.

Northwestern State (12-6, 6-2) scored 11-unanswered in the final minutes to beat Stephen F. Austin (16-2, 7-1)  61-57.

Coming into the game, NSU was the nation's top-scoring offense, averaging 85 ppg. Meanwhile, SFA boasted the nation's top-defense, giving up just under 50 ppg.

Shreveport native James Hublin led the Demons' with 19 points.

Desmond Haymond paced the Lumberjacks with a team-high 11 points. 

The loss ended an 11-game SFA win streak.
