In September 2005, 51-year-old Michael Hunt was beaten to death at the Budget Inn on East Texas Street in Bossier City, Louisiana. Athorities say La Darris Johnson of New Orleans, 16-years-old at the time, is accused along with Tyrone Brown of Bossier City of robbing and beating Mr. Hunt. Hunt was taken to a local hospital where he later died. The trial against Tyrone Brown has begun. He is being tried as an adult. Prosecutors say they will rest their case on Wednesday, while the defense will begin bringing their witnesses to the stand on Thursday. LaDarris Johnson will stand trial at a later date.
