Two Minden towns celebrate Mardi Gras this weekend

Two Webster Parish towns are being taken over by Mardi Gras celebrations this weekend.

The Springhill Main Street Mardi Gras Parade kicks off at 1 P.M. Saturday.  This year's theme: "A roaring good time on Main Street".  Last year, families enjoyed catching beads and watching their community organizations who participated in the parade.

Downtown Minden will be celebrating their German heritage and Mardi Gras this weekend.  The Fasching Karnival and Parade is Saturday starting at 10 A.M.

for "Kid's Day".  The parade begins at 5:30 P.M.
