Police search for suspect in overnight Waffle House robbery

Update: 5:45 p.m. - Shreveport Police describe the suspect as a black male, standing 5'7 to 5'9 inches tall. Witnesses said he was wearinf a large black coat, black bandana, and dark jeans. 


Authorities in Shreveport are searching for a man they say robbed several people along with a restaurant on Pines Road early Tuesday.

Officials with the Shreveport Police Department tell NBC 6 that the crime happened just after midnight.

Police say a black male walked up to a female employee standing outside the Waffle House on Pines Road and robbed the woman of cash.

He then allegedly forced her inside the restaurant and proceeded to rob two customers and the store's cash registers.

The suspect ran from the scene and no description of the suspect has been provided by authorities.
