La Tech puts Seattle to sleep

RUSTON, La. - Louisiana Tech had three players come off the bench to score in double digits Saturday night as the Bulldogs defeated Seattle 78-71 in the Thomas Assembly Center in front of a season high crowd of 3,974.
LA Tech struggled from beyond the arc, but made up for it with crucial free throw shooting to ultimately give the Bulldogs an advantage in the contest.
Tech shot 30-40 from the free throw line, while Seattle shot just 11-18. The Louisiana Tech bench was also a dominant factor scoring 60 of the teams 78 points in the game.
Tech was led by Alex Hamilton and Jaron Johnson who each scored 15 points. Kenyon McNeail also added 12 points to score in double figures. Johnson also added a career high eight rebounds.
Seattle was led by Clarence Trent who led all scorers with 19 points. Also scoring in double digits was D'Vonne Pickett Jr. who added 11 points. Prince Obasi added 11 assists to lead all players.
Louisiana Tech's next action comes Thursday, Jan. 24 against San Jose State as the Bulldogs travel to San Jose, Calif. to take on the Spartans in a 9 p.m. CST tipoff.
