Mayor Glover Announces Town Hall Meetings

Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover, his staff and members of other city departments will be meeting with residents of each council district in the coming weeks. Glover announced the new town hall initiative Tuesday. The mayor says he feels the meeting will give him the opportunity "to be in a position to share some information but also to listen to the people of this city". JoAnne Carter, who manages a clothing store in district G, says police response is poor. "None of them ever show up when I report a crime." Carter told KTAL she will be at this weeks meeting and feels the mayors presence will help.
